There are three parts to this video. In Part I you will learn the five elements theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine. This theory divides the body into networks called organ systems, which control the energy flow in your body and are responsible for keeping you healthy and balanced.
Part II includes detailed discussions about how energy imbalances within organ systems can affect you physically and emotionally, and how those imbalances can influence the relationships you have with others. You will also learn Healthy Balance Qigong, a series of exercises designed specifically to correct energy flow problems.
Healthy Balance Qi Gong is the newest form created by Lisa B. O'Shea in 2012. It is the culmination of her 18 years of teaching and powerfully clears out blockages and brings profound healing to the body. This form combines movement, visualization, meridians, acupuncture points, and Qi Healing techniques to facilitate healing physically, mentally, and emotionally. Healthy Balance Qigong includes over 27 different movements all designed to improve health. All the movements are flowing and easy to learn. It can be divided up into three sets- Chest set, Abdomen set, and Kidney set or can be combined into one set.
Part III offers instruction in Yin Essence Meditation. This meditation enhances constitutional health and increases longevity. It revitalizes the body, turning back the clock and renewing vitality.

Qi Gong exercises train the energy to move properly through the body as well as flush out blockages. When energy has been stuck or stagnant in a muscle for a long period of time, that area of the muscle will develop a physical contraction there. This could result in a knot in the muscle or a “trigger point” according to Dr. Janet Travell.
Qi Gong exercises can assist in flushing out these trigger points but may not be the quickest method when used alone. Stretches developed by Travell have been very successful in returning the functionality to these muscles in a very timely fashion. Changing the energy changes the tissues, and changing the tissues changes the energy.
The following clip from this DVD is of the Levator muscle stretch. This stretch helps with pain between the neck and shoulder blades, pain along the edge of the shoulder blade closest to the spine, and also with a painful stiff neck.

Four Tones & Enlightenment Meditations
The Four Tones is a chanted meditation that I first came across when studying with Master Hong in California. It uses sound and vibration to carry the listener to a place of balance and peace and feels wonderful. The Enlightenment Meditation, also known as the Upper and Lower Dantian Meditation, is a very special meditation developed and taught to me by Dr. Yang, Jwing-Ming. I have never seen any other meditation that builds energy to such high levels as this one. It utilizes specific meridian points and the breath to build energy in the body for longevity and enlightenment.

Circulate Universal Qi & Buddha Mind Meditations
These two meditations were originally taught to me by Master Hong and I have further developed them to reach deeper levels of healing for our modern stresses. The Circulate Universal Qi Meditation uses visualization to carry us to the center of the universe, balance both sides of the body, and bring healing energy into ourselves as well as guide healing to others. The Buddha Mind Meditation brings us to a better state of balance between our physical body and our spiritual being by taking us through the process of releasing attachments to old thought patterns in order to allow us to open up to the possibilities our spirit would like to offer us.
The Dantian Meditation is a powerful and ancient practice that increases longevity and improves constitutional health. The Dantian is our body’s storage battery for energy and is located deep in the abdomen. This meditation will teach you how to deeply relax your body and breathe into the Dantian. Through a variety of beautiful and powerful guided visualizations you will bring universal energy safely into your Dantian for health and longevity.
