Wednesdays: Tai Chi Made Simple 10-10:30 am and Qigong 6-7 pm
Thursdays: Qigong 2:30-3 pm and Tai Chi Long Form 3:10-4:10 pm
Unless otherwise stated, no previous experience is needed for any classes.

Tai Chi is a martial art that combines gentle movements with breathing and mental focus to increase Qi flow through the body. Originally when Tai Chi was first created 300-500 years ago, the main goal of it was to lead the Qi to the hands and feet to increase power for martial purposes.
Tai Chi is still practiced today mainly for its healing effects on the body. Increasing the Qi flow through the body has very beneficial properties for people and helps with: arthritis, heart disease, cancer, improving longevity, increasing bone density, lowering blood pressure, helping with balance, and calming and focusing the mind are just a few.

Tai Chi Short Form (24) classes are suitable for beginners and is offered in 12-week semesters that start mid-September and February every year. The intersession between these semesters is when the Advanced Short Form course is offered which is basically a review of the semester's material. This Advanced Short Form course is sometimes also offered in the late spring after the February semester has ended.
Tai Chi Long Form classes are offered Thursday at 3:10 pm. This program is suitable for those with previous Tai Chi experience and is offered in 10-week trimesters that start mid-September, December, and early Spring. New students can join this program at the beginning of any trimester.

Thursdays at 3:10-4:10 pm EST, new module begins Feb. 22, 2024. If you have previous Tai Chi experience, this would be a great class for you! In-depth work on breathing and using the legs for power is a center point of this course. Our Tai Chi Long Form is taught as a series of independent modules so that new students can join our class at regular intervals. Class is held in-person only and students will have access to previously recorded classes for practicing at home for a year.

Wednesdays at 10-10:30 am EST, starting Jan 31, 2024. Drop-ins welcome!10-week in-person course, 30 min/class. Fun and simple instruction in aspects of Tai Chi. Great for wellness, balance, and peace of mind. Learn to feel each moment, one at a time in a relaxing welcoming environment. This is a great class for beginners to learn some simple Tai Chi movements. Taught by Jim Bielan. Only $60 if taking another class! Drop-ins welcome!
